Our Registered Nurses provide professional nursing care to assigned individuals and professional nursing supervision to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel. Work Descriptions
The Licensed Practical Nurse assists the Registered Nurse and Medical Team in meeting each individual resident's practicable level of independence and function through medical and psychosocial intervention, administering medication, and evaluating the patient's response to care. The position will take part in the interdisciplinary team process and provide guidance to Health Care Technicians (Nurse Aide I's) during the day to day activities of daily living.

Provide quality nursing services in the care and treatment of residents, under nursing supervision. About the Walter B. Jones Center: The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. &nbsp;The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. The Nursing Home Licensure &amp; Certification Section provides regulatory services to nursing home providers so that they can improve the quality of services they deliver through regulatory compliance; resulting ultimately in safe quality care, quality of life, and safety of residents and citizens who utilize nursing home services.
Work Descriptions
The primary responsibility of the Nurse Consultant I position in the Nursing Home Licensure and Certification Section is to determine compliance of nursing homes with federal and state requirements through inspections. Job responsibilities include the following:

Work Descriptions
Under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist, this position coordinates a range of assessment and treatment services to about 25 residents in a home with significant intellectual disorders and related developmental disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorder, and including some with significant behavior disorders and psychiatric diagnoses. Services include providing functional behavior assessments; planning, developing, and evaluating training and treatment programs, some of which may contain protective and/or restrictive procedures that require due process approval with the human rights committee. This position will also provide staff training and participate in interdisciplinary team processes that may include leading discussions using data to guide teams in decisions regarding behavior support planning, training, and treatment. The NC Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities oversees three regional state-operated Developmental Centers.
 Developmental Centers provide services to individuals:

Neuro-Medical Treatment Centers
The Neuro-Medical Treatment Centers are specialized skilled nursing facilities certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act long term care regulations. &nbsp;The three facilities serve adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
